Age Limit & Category Relaxation Criteria
Prescribed Age Benchmark: 18 to 36 Years as on July 01, 2026
  • Candidates must be between 18 and 36 years of age on the prescribed benchmark date.
  • Upper age relaxation of 5 years applies to SC and ST category candidates.
  • Upper age relaxation of 3 years applies to OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) applicants.
  • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities receive up to 10 years relaxation in upper age limit.

Detailed Educational Qualification & Eligibility Criteria
  • Candidates must possess a Bachelor Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent institution.
  • Computer proficiency and English typing certification are required for clerical and accounts cadremen.
  • All educational certificates must be awarded on or before the closing application date.
  • Crucial Date for Qualification: All qualifying degrees, diplomas, marksheets, and registered certificates must have been officially passed and awarded on or before the application closing deadline (2026-11-06).
  • Recognition Standard: Degrees and certifications must be acquired from an institution or university officially recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), AICTE, NCTE, or respective statutory state/central councils.
Selection Process & Examination Pattern
  • First stage Computer Based Test (CBT-1) serves as a screening examination for all posts.
  • Second stage Computer Based Test (CBT-2) determines the merit score for post allocation.
  • Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) applies specifically to Station Master aspirants.
  • Document verification and medical fitness examination conducted at designated railway zonal divisions.
  • Negative Marking: For objective multiple-choice computer-based tests, standard negative marking rules apply (typically 1/3rd or 1/4th deduction for each incorrect answer).
  • Final Merit List: Prepared strictly on the basis of marks scored in competitive examination stages, subject to clearing the qualifying skill test and document verification.
How to Fill Online Application Form (Step-by-Step Guide)
  1. Visit the official centralized Railway recruitment portal at https://www.rrbapply.gov.in.
  2. Create your candidate account under the Online Registration module using your Aadhaar card and active mobile number.
  3. Log in to your newly generated candidate dashboard and select CEN 06/2026 Graduate Posts.
  4. Enter your educational background, zonal railway preferences, and graduation percentage.
  5. Upload your high-clarity color passport photograph with white background and digital signature.
  6. Pay the examination fee of Rs. 500 (Rs. 250 for SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/Female/EBC) through online banking or UPI.
